OKUMA LB 300 M CNC turning center was built in 2006 in Japan by OKUMA Corporation. The machine, designed for even the most demanding production challenges, is an excellent choice for both unit and series production. Its extensive machining capabilities enable a wide range of complex operations, such as turning or threading, to be realised with the highest accuracy and repeatability.

The workspace of the OKUMA LB 300 M machine has been fully maximised in relation to its compact dimensions in order to ensure complete freedom of operation. It features, among others, an inclined bed, a reliable spindle and a 12-position turret. The spindle, driven by a high-powered motor, reaches a maximum speed of 4500 rpm and moves in two X,Z axes with feeds of 260 mm and 520 mm respectively. All cutting tools are stored in a 12-position turret, which offers fast and reliable operation. Precise positioning and support of the workpiece during machining is in turn ensured by the tailstock.

The use of an inclined bed reduces vibrations and increases the stability of the design by better distribution of the loads during machining. It also facilitates the chip removal, as the chips automatically fall directly onto the chip conveyor under the influence of gravity. All this is complemented by the state-of-the-art OKUMA OSP-P200L control system with its intuitive interface, enabling easy programming of the machining parameters. The OKUMA Space Turn LB300-M CNC lathe weighs 4300 kg.
